The operator of this site takes the protection of your personal data seriously and treats your personal data as confidential and according to the legal data protection rules as well as to this data protection declaration.

If you visit this website, various personal data will be collected.  Personal data are data that could be used to identify you personally. This data protection declaration explains which data we collect and how we use them. It also explains how and for what purpose data are collected.

Please note that security gaps may exist with regard to data transmission over the Internet (such as communication via e-mail). Complete protection of data from unauthorized access by third parties is not possible.

Purpose of data processing by the controlling body and by third parties

We only process your personal data for the purposes specified in this data protection declaration.  None of your personal data are transferred to third parties for any purposes other than those specified in this data protection declaration. We only transfer your personal data to third parties, if:

  • your personal data need to be processed for the performance of a contract to which you are party
  • processing your personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation
  • your personal data need to be processed to safeguard legitimate interests and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding interest meriting protection relating to non-disclosure of your data.

Storage period and erasure

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. Therefore we will only store your personal data as long as necessary for achieving the purposes stated herein or as stipulated by the various storage periods required by law. Once a purpose ceases to exist or a storage period expires, we will erase or block the corresponding data.

Data collection on our website

a) Server log files

When visiting our website the web browser installed on your computer will automatically send information to our web server.  This information will be stored temporarily in a so-called log file. The following information will be gathered automatically and stored until the time of automatic deletion:

  • IP address of the inquiring computer
  • date and time you visited our site
  • name and URL of the file retrieved
  • website from which our site is accessed (referrer URL)
  • information about the browser and the operating system of your computer and the name of your internet access provider.

This information is required, for technical reasons, for correct delivery of the content of websites that you request and it must be gathered when using the internet. It is processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • to establish a connection to the website without any difficulties
  • to ensure smooth and reliable use of our website
  • to evaluate  system safety and stability
  • for additional administrative purposes.

The legal basis for the processing of this personal data is provided for in Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest in the collection of this data is based on the aforementioned purposes. By no means will we use the data collected to reveal your identity. None of this data will be merged with any other data sources. The recipient of this data is solely the controlling body and, if applicable, the processor.

If necessary, we will statistically evaluate anonymous information of this type in order to optimize our website and the technology it is built on.

b) Cookies

Like many other websites, we use cookies. A cookie is a small data file that is sent from a website’s server to the hard drive in your computer. Cookies enable us to automatically receive certain data such as your IP address, the browser, the operating system you use and your internet connection.

Web Hosting

Our website is hosted in Germany. When using our website data will also be transmitted to our web hosting service provider. This data transmission is governed by a so-called ‘commissioned-processing contract’.

Data Security

For the purposes of security and safety, this website uses SSL encryption. To identify this encrypted connection check whether the website URL in the status bar of your browser begins with ‘’https://’’ and contains a padlock symbol.  If this is the case, the SSL encryption is activated and the data you transmit to us cannot be intercepted by third persons.

In addition, we apply appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or willful manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction and unauthorized access by third parties. We are constantly improving our security measures in accordance with the latest technological developments.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via e-mail or via our on-line contact form, you are giving your consent to be contacted by us for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. For that purpose we need you to provide us with a valid e-mail address. This e-mail address will be used solely to identify your inquiry and to respond to it.  Providing any further personal data is optional. Your personal data provided for the purpose of contacting us are processed pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR based on your voluntarily given consent. Your personal data will automatically be deleted as soon as storage is no longer necessary or, at the latest, upon expiry of the applicable statutory storage periods.

Use of script and font libraries (Google Webfonts)

In order to display the content of our website correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries on this website such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Webfonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to prevent multiple loading.  If the browser does not support Google Webfonts or prohibits access, content will be displayed in a standard font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – but currently also unclear whether and if so for what purposes – that operators of such libraries collect data.

Your rights as a data subject

  • receive information about your personal data stored by us and whether or not your personal data are being processed (Art. 15 GDPR).
  • obtain the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you (Art. 16 GDPR).
  • have your personal data, which are stored by us, deleted (Art. 17 GDPR).
  • restrict the processing of your personal data as long as we are not allowed to delete your personal data due to legal obligations (Art. 18 GDPR).
  • object to processing of your personal data by us ((Art. 21 GDPR).
  • data portability, if you have given your consent to your personal data being processed or if you have signed a contract with us (Art. 20 GDPR).

You have the right to withdraw any consent you have given us at any time with future effect (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

You have a right to lodge a complaint with your competent supervisory authority at any time (Art. 77 GDPR). Which supervisory authority is competent depends on the federal state of which you are a resident, where you work or where the alleged infringement took place.
